David Fairman is Managing Director at the Consensus Building Institute and Associate Director of the MIT-Harvard Public Disputes Program. He leads CBI’s International Development practice, working with multilateral development agencies, governments, and other national partners to facilitate and institutionalize collaborative planning, policy and project decision-making. For the past six years, he has worked to build US-Pakistan partnerships as Co-Director of the US-Pakistan Leaders Forum. David is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a founding member of the Alliance for Peacebuilding, and founding director of CBI’s Workable Peace Program. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from MIT and a B.A. from Harvard College.
