Qadeer Baig has been working as Director of the Youth Engagement Program at IRD Pakistan. In addition, he is the CEO of the NGO Resource Centre at Karachi. He was Country Representative, Rutgers WPF, Pakistan since January 2007 to Oct 2016. He has formal qualifications in ‘Management of NGOs’ from the London School of Economics (LSE), UK and has published a number of articles and papers on NGO related issues in National and International publications.He has represented civil society as part of the official Government delegations for the ‘Commission on Population & Development’s Sessions at the UN and actively engaged in policy discourse related to Post MDGs and Legal and Fiscal framework for NGOs. He is currently engaged IRDs Youth Engagement Program that aims Adolescent Health and Leadership for creating healthy societies thru Kiran Sitara Program. He was Member on the ‘Roster of Experts’ – NGO Management of the Asian Development Bank Inspection Team. He has worked in Pakistan, East Africa, Central Asia and Afghanistan for capacity building of local institutions. Previously he remained employed as Director, NGO Resource Centre, Aga Khan Foundation for about 15 years in various capacities. Qadeer Baig has presented papers in various regional and international conferences on SRHR, Civil Society and Governance. His articles on ‘NGO Management and Governance issues’ have been published in National and International publications.
